Murl Allen Sanders will be playing live accordion accompaniment to the film “The Saga of Gosta Berling” at the Northwest Film Forum. “The Saga of Gosta Berling” is a Swedish silent film made in 1925 starring Greta Garbo. Murl will play the score that he has composed plus live improvisation to the screen images. The performance will be recorded for possible future use. Please join Murl for this once-in-a-lifetime screening of an historic film with a thoroughly updated score by Murl. It will be an intense, entertaining experience.

The film is an exciting saga of love, betrayal, aristocracy and commoners set in the beautiful 19 th century Swedish countryside. It is a visual marvel of the era and will engage you with its humor, love story, action, adventure, pathos, exciting drama and romance.
